The Growing Netizen, How Should We React ?

So I made this writing while am waiting for my friend to come over to me (while it’s already 45 minutes since the time she planned to). While on my way to this mediocre donuts shop, I met a couple of mother - daughter. Pretty young mom with a chich style though in scarf. Her daughter? Not bad either. Bet the daughter will soon grown up as a much more beautiful and stylish person. Since she already got her hair dyed. (Too bad I can’t take their picture since it’ll be inappropriate).
As the story goes, I found that the children is quite demanding with this and that since I met her. (Yeap, kiddos in nowadays life are very irritating which is why I hate kids). But as I look forward to their condition, turned out that the pretty young girl only ask to be cared for by her mom through the day. Why is it such a big matter? Her mom is a freakin BB user and can’t stop BBM ing all the time and not taking care her daughter seriously as a result of that.
Getting more and more frustated by the neglect, this pretty young girl started to cry bombastically, crying out loud with all no sense of reason she yelled. And guess what the mom did? Nothing! She only yelled back at the daughter will continuing the “firing” BBM conversation she seemed having at that time.
Looking at this condition, am questioning, is it the picture of our netizen? Is it the effect of whatsoever internet literacy through the mass growing nation of Indonesia. Sometimes we all very proud of the growing internet literacy among our people, seems from how kiddos aged start from 5 these days already very accustom to Google, to a growing internet traders from housewives population. But as they all say, everything comes at a cost. And perhaps this is one form of cost that we are talking about.
How should we react to this? We are in our very ownself that capable of answering this question. Myself even have to admit sometimes am so down into the internet world with it’s BBM, twitter and tumblrs that I neglect all the happenings surround me.
Somehow we all have to realize, in our very basic meanings as a social living things, direct interaction still comes as the best way. So, keep being a great netizen but don’t forget to look around your surroundings. ;)
